The new Science and Arts Building at Montessori Gymea stands as a testament to innovative design and educational excellence. Designed by Ruth Newman Architect, this project seamlessly integrates modern facilities tailored to both scientific exploration and artistic expression.
The building features fully equipped science laboratories, offering students access to advanced tools and technologies for hands-on learning. Adjacent to the labs, flexible classrooms provide adaptable spaces that support a variety of teaching methods and creative activities. The arts-focused commercial kitchen is designed to inspire culinary creativity, making it an integral part of the arts education at Montessori Gymea.
In addition to the educational spaces, the building includes modern offices and specialized areas such as a chemical storage room, all designed with safety and functionality in mind.
The project also extends beyond the building itself, addressing critical infrastructure needs with the construction of a 27-space car park. To further enhance safety and accessibility, raised crossings and improved footpaths lead directly to the school, ensuring a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors.
This completed project not only enriches the educational environment at Montessori Gymea but also reflects our commitment to creating inspiring and future-proof learning spaces. The Science and Arts Building is a cornerstone of the school’s vision for nurturing creativity, innovation, and academic excellence.
